Video-based one-day workshop

This four-session, interactive course provides a complete toolbox of concepts and skills to help managers and supervisors, at every level, create a climate which tends to prevent and reduce conflict. However, if conflict becomes a factor in the workplace, the participant will be able to manage and resolve it successfully. Both instructor and participant manuals are included.

Session I: Foundations of Team Building - understanding the various types of teams and the sources of power that impact teamwork. Each session involves group discussion and activities to enhance the learning process.

Session II: Sources of Conflict and How to Avoid Them - learning to identify the eight sources of conflict is the first step in prevention and/or resolution.

Session III: Selecting the Best Style - learning to use all five styles will enable the participant to be effective since conflict is often a "moving target."

Session IV: Conflict Resolution Interview - learning "what to say and practice saying it" is the purpose of this final session.  The prior study and planning is only of value if you can actually conduct an effective conflict intervention meeting with great skill.
